Initially I thought it was too much butter for the drizzle but once it sat over evening the cake soaked it up and it was scrumptious! I defrosted some frozen strawberries and drizzled the juice over the cake excellent strawberry shortcake duplicate. Had to add my praise for this glorious recipe!

I made it in an angel food pan with the underside lined with parchment paper. It worked great, and the cake itself was heavenly. My husband was super impressed, and instantly begged me to cut it into slice-sized portions and freeze it because the temptation was too great. Like so lots of your desserts, this one also freezes properly in slices. I just took a slice out of the freezer and allowed it to defrost.

I used the tapioca starch as an alternative of the whey (didn’t have any) like a kind reader suggested and it was wonderful!! Also wouldn't have bunt pan so used eleven x 13 glass pan and it was excellent. Just getting ready to make it once more and needed to thanks for sharing. You can replace the vanilla totally with lemon. I might also add the zest of 1 lemon, since that actually helps the lemon flavor with out adding carbs.
Absolutely nothing too fear about.This cake is wonderful! I’m from Australia, and by no means had Kentucky butter cake earlier than, but I wager if I did, I couldn’t taste the distinction.
